Anna Leigh Ashford

Annaleigh Amanda Ashford has been an American actress, dancer and performer since the beginning of the 1990s. She started her Broadway career with musicals, including Wicked Legally Blonde and Hair. in You Can't Take It With You She was the recipient of the Tony Award as Best Featured actor in the Play. Annaleigh, Tony Award-winning actress and director, has spent the majority of her professional career working alongside well-known directors and actors in film and on television. Ashford will next be seen starring opposite Kumail Nanjiani on the Hulu limited series Welcome to Chippendales from creator Robert Siegel premiering on November 22. Ashford is currently filming for Searchlight Pictures' horror thriller Dust with Sarah Paulson and Ebon Moss-Bachrach. The film is scheduled to air on Disney DTC in the form of a Hulu Original. It will be released in 2023, March. Ashford returns to Broadway and play alongside Josh Groban in the revival of Stephen Sondheim's Sweeney Todd at the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre. This show will be led by Thomas Kail and produced by Jeffrey Seller, the team that created Hamilton. Ashford's last role was as Paula Jones on Ryan Murphy FX's American Crime Story Impeachment. It is based upon the nationwide scandal that involved Paula Jones Monica Lewinsky, as well as Linda Tripp. In two seasons, Ashford played a prominent role in CBS's hit comedy B Positive. The series was created by Marco Pennette, Chuck Lorre and Linda Lavin. Also, it featured Ben Vereen and Hector Elizondo. Additional Broadway credits include Sunday in the Park with George Wicked Legally Blonde and the originating role of Lauren In Kinky Boots a performance for which she received another Tony Award nomination. Ashford was born and raised in Denver and is now dividing her time between Los Angeles, and New York.
